Good to hear mate, thanks for posting.
Holden have generally been very good with looking after customers over the years.
G’day
Well it’s a good news story for me.
Dropped my 2016 Calais V for 45 month service.
I recently had all 8 fuel injectors replaced under an “out of warranty” warranty.
I had noticed a tapping/knocking sound when cold start over the last couple of weeks.
Read that it could be hydraulic lifters and sure enough that was the case.
Local dealer approached Holden on the same basis as the fuel injectors and sure enough they came through with a no charge replacement.
That’s a good news story as far as I’m concerned!
I guess it shows that if you don’t ask you don’t get.
Well done Holden !
Cheers

Nice post in these troubled times bagman.
Too many knockers around, but I've always found that with the right attitude to them, Holden have always been pretty good on warranty, even if in some cases it's expired. Several years ago we had an issue with an AH AStra timing chain tensioner, in this particular engine rather complicated, but was a "non serviceable" item, meaning it shouldn't break etc,...car had done 75,000Ks, was 4 years out of warranty, but car had always been dealer serviced, so service manager put in a report to Holden, who paid half the bill.
Pickles.
