With respect to the O.P. "Mr. Korrupt", thanks for posting that, but that is very old "news" (NO RESPECT TO YOU WHATSOEVER!),..What I'm saying is that how can people like Joshua Dowling get paid for writing that stuff as "NEWS", when it is simply a "mish mash" of stuff that we already know.
Of course GMSV cannot get up until the GM/Holden issue is resolved, and We already know about Corvette being delayed etc!!

    Facts from GM...

The Offical GM press release from the 10th of January 2020... first announced the Japan RHD C8 release would be available from "Delivery is scheduled for spring 2021." ( Spring in Japan, just looked it up is from 21st March till 21st June)

The Offical GM press release from the 3rd June 2020... first announced the UK RHD C8 release in the UK is as follows... "The new Corvette Stingray will be at European dealers from the second half of 2021."

Must be a slow news day, Joshua Dowling regurgitating old news again...

I must have missed it before as I had not heard that they had come up with the new name "General Motors Specialty Vehicles"

Sadly, I think they are going to have their work cut out.

The new Stingray looks as though it is an amazing car in comparison for the money in the United States
but unfortunately I can't imagine many people buying them over here.

Sadly I think GM has burned their bridges in Australia.

Whilst nothing is "official", GM have not said "NO" to RHD in Aussie, so IMHO C8 will come here, & yeah, if it comes, I reckon late 2021, around that time.
All will become clearer, I reckon, when the Holden/GM issue is resolved. Many Dealers have already signed up, but not everyone.

New article today (also from Dowling) says Holden have confirmed it now.

US car giant General Motors will retain a presence in Australia with a range of specialist vehicles including the Chevrolet Silverado pick-up and Corvette sports-car from the US, Holden has confirmed today.

Great news I reckon. Final confirmation from GM that Corvette will be coming RHD, & IMHO, good news for those dealers who wish to go GMSV,...I know mine is.
The interesting part will be what GM vehicles will be converted by Walkinshaw.

Re: GMSV coming this year, Corvette pushed back to late 2021

Yes there is ZERO... mention about the RHD C8 Corvette in the Official HSV press release from yesterday...

His story would have been made up from this official press release below, then twisted and regurgitated into his story.

Where does it say anything about C8 Corvette....

WALKINSHAW AUTOMOTIVE GROUP TO PARTNER WITH GM THROUGH CREATION OF GMSV

General Motors (GM) has today announced their new venture GMSV and is scheduled to commence trading in Australia and New Zealand in Q4 2020. As a long-term business partner of GM, the Walkinshaw Automotive Group (WAG) are pleased to confirm our role in this new venture.

WAG will continue to re-manufacture the Chevrolet Silverado range at our Clayton, Victoria premises and look forward to working closely with GM on future models and projects.
“We’re pleased to continue our 33-year association with GM through their new venture GMSV. We’re able to keep significant automotive employment in Victoria through this new business and continue to bring exciting product to market which is core to the Walkinshaw Group’s DNA. We’ve developed unique engineering expertise in producing OEM standard right-hand drive conversions at scale, and we look forward to working closely with GMSV in this new era.” Ryan Walkinshaw, Director Walkinshaw Automotive Group.

“We’d also like to thank both the Detroit and local teams of GM for their support in this transition in a very difficult external environment”.
“Our business has now successfully pivoted to a contract manufacturing and engineering company for multiple customers. We can apply our whole organisation’s expertise and experience to help deliver first class results for our customers, as is evident most recently with the success and growth in the full-size truck market. We look forward to working with our customers including GMSV to continue to grow, and to continue to invest in our community by providing more employment opportunities.”

“HSV has enjoyed an extremely successful journey through more than 30 years of Australian automotive history. HSV’s engineering feats and ground-breaking designs captured the hearts of Australians, creating a wide and loyal fan base. This includes the production of over 85,000 HSVs starting with our first Commodore models, through to W1 and the Sportscat. The HSV dealer network will continue to service HSV product and to supply warranty, spare parts and accessories to our customers into the future. We are committed to preserving HSV’s integrity and heritage, and ensure it remains the pinnacle of Australian motoring.” "

Joshua Dowling is 100% speculating once again on C8 RHD Corvette......

From everything I have seen it seems that GM is building a RHD car for the United Kingdom & Japanese markets.

I can't imagine why we would not see some here.

Already on sale in Japan (as RHD), but delivery isn't until spring 2021. Probably when we will see it too.

Walkinshaw won't have to convert them, so they probably didn't mention them in their press release.

A bit of uncertainty about if we will see a RHD version of the next Mustang being sold in Ford dealerships in Australia?
