Yeah, the early ones did not seal around the filters as well as the later ones & dust etc got through.

Ordered the OTR Should be good once thats here.

Been eyeing off exhausts too, DiFillipo seems to be the way to go. My tuner for the Fairlane is a DiFillipo dealer and said they will hook me up so cant go wrong there!

Make sure of what exhaust system you buy because the wagons can drone like hell if you are not very careful.

Yeh I am thinking of possibly doing just a cat back. I dunno, I don't want to tune it but Then again to do a exhaust I need to get DOD off in the tune, so can get the post cat oxy sensory turned off too if I go extractors...

This is the Difillipo setup I have been contemplating.

You know my previous build, I like to keep it classy and subtle.

DPE is now owned by Manta, the quality should still be there and Australian made I believe.

Yeh I spoke to the boys at BluePower Racing Developments about it, they are a authorized
distributor. as I was concerned about the quality if its still the same, apparently its still just as good they apparently have the same fabricator welding them up as DPE used.

Fitted up the VCM OTR, and man does it make the enginebay look alot more "finished off" compared to with the stock intake system! The induction note is fantastic too!

    135438998-3549548661828258-3037948628557443240-n.jpg

Also fitted up a Thinkware 770D front and rear dashcam kit, hard wired to the car so thats good.

Anyway a quick question, the car still has the stock trans cooler in the radiator which I am going to piss off eventually - not a fan of that style setup I'm not really a betting man. How have people found the 6L80 on the stock cooler setup for towing? Going to have probably 7-800ish KG all up including the trailer off the towbar in a few weeks, for a 500km trip home from Melbourne, and a little concerned how the stock cooler will go, and if I should leave it in drive and let it sort it self out, or on the highway pull it back into 5th.. Haven't towed any real weight on it yet.

Also turns out it won't be getting a sunroof now, as Webesto have stopped making the Hollandia 700 which is what the VF takes, and the sunroof installer said they can't retrofit a 2nd hand genuine from a Redline or Calais V sedan.. There is 1 sunroof shop who has some stock but I am not paying $3,500 for a install when the othershop shop (Who have fitted sunroofs in both my fairlanes) quoted me $2100 for the exact same roof... Alltho they did say if I get a roof cut 2nd hand from a BA/BF/FG Falcon that can be used.. May need to part out the fairlane

And just a pic because well, why not!
