    VE E3 senator rough idle engine light abs fault

    Hey guys

    after info on rough idle, engine light and traction control fault. was driving fine for about 5 mins then lights started flashing on dash saying traction control fault, check engine then the car started running rough as. managed to limp it home and turn it off leave it for a while but no change. im sure this has happened to many people so your info would be appreciated

    Ve E3 Hsv Senator FAULT traction control, engine, and really rough idle

    hey guys after info.
    driving for 5 mins this arv car was fine then all of a sudden fault codes started flashing and beeping then the car went into a rough idle. turned the car off then turned it back on but it hasnt gone away. surely some1 has had this same issue. any info would be much appreciated

    Could be myriad of things. I'd suggest getting the fault codes scanned to narrow down the problem. I take it you've already had a look under the bonnet for anything obvious like unplugged sensor/electrical connector etc ??

    Rear ABS harness is prone to failing, especially if the car is lowered.

    Check for loose spark plug leads

    VEs are very prone to all sorts of strange error messages if your battery is unhealthy. Also, if it has aftermarket headers also quite common for misfire problems due to burnt out leads touching extractors. Also common for (from memory) one of the rear, hard to get to spark plug leads to come loose.
