I would go & get another opinion before I shelled out that sort of cash.
I can't imagine that your car, all of a sudden is in need of all that work.
Hi all,
I have a 05 VZ SS Turismo Blue with 179000 kms. Just took it into the local dealer for a Holden Essential Service, and they came back with a list of things to fix for $3600 .
They have the following:
Battery AC Delco $176 + GST
Brake Fluid ( too much moisture)
Tyres 235/40/18 $620 + GST. Tyres on it are Bridgestone and apparently worn out at 11000km, and confirmed by Bob Jane, even though had 2 wheel alignments, one was 2000kms ago and they didnt say any problems.
Bush ASM - Tension Rod (2) $514.26 +GST
Bushing FRT Lwr Cont Arm (2) $95.40 + GST
Mount Kit - frnt susp Strut $173.36 + GST
S/RACK . exchange unit, cannot get a new one any more. $564.36 +GST
Hose - Rad INL $33.06 + GST
Gasket M/transmission sel lvr $78.89 + GST
Coolant DEX COOL $51.56 + GST
Labour $988.63 +GST
Total $3300 + gst.
My question is, the tyres are probably worn due to the Bushes problem? Am i better just getting the genuine ones here, or should i get a full kit etc from somewhere?
Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

100% go somewhere else and have another done. Some of those items could well be valid for a car that old but some sound like potential money spinners.
