Sounds like a great day at the track. Bet it was freezing down there!!! How did the McDonald boys run?

Great car racing at the Island this weekend with various catagories. Super sedans, vee's,formula fords,HQ's. There was a Honda with a mid mounted 6 lt Chev in her. What a fantastic sounding machine. Chevy Nova powered by a 327ci, Mustangs, VC comm, but without dought the closest racing was from the HQ boys. Thanks to the boys from Mcdonald Racing for the very entertaining day out. Good to see Damian from Harrop with his unusual engineered Torana doing real well. His engine is a Holden 6 lower with a 250 Ford crossflow head that has been fitted backwards????? Three throttle bodies. Man what a beast

Bloody freezing Bean Man, good air but McDonald boys went real good with a first and a second on Sunday. The old 202ci engines still sound pretty good coming down the main straightOriginally Posted by Bean Man
Nothing like a bit of 'old school' don't you think? (and that's coming from a young fella like me)

Damn it I was down there from friday arvo till just now saw a few formula fords or similar on the road but nothing else. Missed it oh well hope it was good. Was cold but especially out on a freakin boat looking at 4,000 seals laying about on a rock
Missed a good day mate. Murray Carter's Corvette was sounding awsome as was Seaton's old EL super carOriginally Posted by JHP1
Sounds like you had a fun day Chev
I reckon we need to get the gang together and prep or purchase a circuit vehicle for some good fun racing JTOriginally Posted by JT
I reckon a blown clubby would fit the bill nicelyOriginally Posted by chev

Time to check out how good those new tyres REALLY are chev.
chev,
Yes we had a very successful weekend finishing third outright in the changing dry to wet conditions on slicks
We win many a bet with the old "Guess what engine it is?"
Good to catch up.
