World Class Drag Racing In Victoria, You Can Help

Below you can read an official letter from ANRDA Project Director Gary Miocevich.
This letter is asking all Drag Racers and supporters to write there own letter or multiple letters to Victorian Sports Minister Justin Madden and or your local Member of Parliament.
Please take the time to post the letter, if you send an email it’s easy for them to delete & not read.
If we post these letters it’s in the face.
There are 2 samples letters in the link below along with the address’s of the Victorian members of Parliament, use these letters as a guide only.
Doesn’t matter which state you live in, if you want to get involved please do, we need to tell the Government that we want a world class track for drag racing in Victoria.

dont get carried away l heard the labour party is just stringing racers along .if you look at their policies you will see that they will not support any new motorsport tracks in this state and when asked about it on 3aw yesterday steve backs dodged the question

If the Government isnt interested in building this (which it would appear they are not) then what is stopping it being a Privately owned facility?? AFAIK Western Sydney Int'l Dragway is not Government owned or operated, and ANDRA is not a Government body or anything, more a Privately operated Motorsport Body (much like CAMS).

Is there no Private Enterprises interested in this? Would their be a business case for something like this to happen and be profitable for the private sector??

Governments should support/subsidise it if they are serious about trying to get hoons off the streets ... otherwise their anti hoon and other such traffic legislation is just no more than outright lies.

Seriously.. I know people in the Funny Car industry who used to run cars over in the US and they say it will never happen in VIC.. Where will they go? Heathcote? That's pretty run down and not realy up to the WSID venue standard and not particularly accessible for Melbourne people to get to easily.. Calder? Bob Jane won't allow it not to mention the money that place needs to become something other than a strip surrounded by rusting shipping containers.. Your letter won't mean squat In my opinion.. The support and money is just not there to sustain that type of thing. Sponsors won't go near something that's not going to make them money.
