Hi Guys,
Do ignition leads / spark plugs wear out over time or just with use? Only 35,000KM on clock, but they are 5 years old. Was just wondering....
If you do alot of driving where you will only do a couple K's and then switch off your engine it would be a good idea to change your plugs more often. If you just get the car out for a Sunday cruise every week they shouldnt be too bad
Ok thanks guys, think they might be due for a replacement based on age not km's! Next question! What are the best replacements to get? The standard Holden one's, or is there something better? Remember mechanic telling me better to get genuine leads, but what about sparkies?
Get the MSD 8.5mm leads
MSD - Wire Set, Super Conductor 8.5mm LS1 / LS2
The MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Wire is "the" performance wire. Engineered from the inside out, the 8.5 offers everything you have everwanted in a wire, incredibly low resistance without electronic interference! In a single 12 inch length of Super Conductor Wire there is only 40 - 50 ohms of resistance! That is the lowest resistance of any helically wound wire.
Evening,
Sly,
Are these MSD leads required for a Bolt On set up?
I did a fair bit of research in relation to plugs and leads and came to the conclusion that standard leads and NGK BPR6EF plugs, changed often were as good as Iridium plugs and the exxey leads?
Would appreciate some feedback.
Cheers,
Hogs.
SLY i think it was the No2 that made your ute fast not the F@@ken leads
