Definately sounds like a plan to me Curtis

    Hows the ride quality?
The ride is not that much different on a good road, but hit a reasonable bump & you know its lowered, the roads down here are pretty shite so I just do a bit of dodging & weaving

As a few of you chatbox regulars already know I fitted a set of HM Headers & HI Flow cats to the SSV yesterday. But seeing that it started to hail just as I picked the car up, tonight was the 1st chance I had to take it for a spin.

I must say that even though I really like the note that the Powersound Catback puts out the car sounds even better now. It definitely feels stronger in 1st, 2nd & 3rd under WOT. Will be keen to get it back to Chev's dyno to see what the gain is. Here are some pics

Out with the not so old looking Standard Headers & Cats

In with the not so New looking 2nd Hand HM Headers & Cats

    Cheers Paul

very nice, that ride height looks really good with the stock tyres and rims. How much did you chop her by?

I took measurements before & after, I measured from the bottom of the rim coz the tape hooks in good, I notice that nearly everyone on here goes from the centre of the rim but I reckon thats to hard to do coz you gotta get the tape in the exact same spot on all 4 wheels.

    The spring part numbers are.
    Front - HFL-114SL
    Rear - HRL-115SL

Measurements Before & After with about 3/4 tank of fuel

    B4 - F/D 655mm - After - 625mm
    B4 - R/D 640mm - After - 610mm
    B4 - F/P 660mm - After - 620mm
    B4 - R/P 645mm - After - 610mm

    Paul

Thanx M8, it actually sits lower than what I was expecting but its all good, everyone that has seen it says it looks great, I freaked a bit when I 1st saw it come off the hoist.
mate i want my car to look exactly like that...so if i use these spring part numbers that u quoted here it should look similar??? i didn even really wanna lower it till i seen these pics!!!

For some reason mine dropped lower than most of the other guys that used the Lovell's SL , It ended sitting 35mm lower which for me personally was way to low, since then I have taken the Lovell's out & fitted intermediate Pedders which raised it back up about 15mm. Much happier now as I dont think it was practical having it that low for where I live with the condition the roads are in, also very hard not to scrape the front which I hate doing.

I have replaced the Lovell's SL with the following

    Pedders Sports Ryder Coils

    Fronts - # 2956

    Rear - # 2957

Going off the Pedders Brochure the front lowers 20mm & the rear Lowers 25mm.

No kits of any kind purchased, dont think you need to.

Now that I have had both brands I can say that the Lovell's are definitely a softer or closer to standard ride, but coz mine was so low I was hitting the bumps stops & when you hit a decent bump you knew about it. The Pedders in general a firmer ride but the car car feels much bette to drive now.

Yes just the springs , The going rate for the Pedders is about $650 fitted. Yes m8 I have some updated pics I can post some up if you like or e-mail them ?.

P.S Pedders also have these springs which will drop it about the same as the Lovell's

    Sports Ryder Coils

    Front # 2954 - Lowers approx 40mm

    Rear - # 2955 - Lowers approx 45mm

P.S.S Make sure they transfer the coil covers over to which ever you buy otherwise you will get knocking noises Like I did.
