This is a no brainer really, but I read somewhere, someone was quoted $300 plus parts to replace the common leaking washer bottle hose. I thought I would do a quick write up, to make sure no one wastes their cash.
Background info: every time I filled the bottle it would leak out, and I couldn't resolve the leak with tape etc, and for weeks I didnt realise the corrugated hose pulled out, as I thought it was one piece with the bottle, so it went in the to hard basket.
Eqpt required:
10mm spanner
New hose pt no 92224546 $13
Description:
First off remove the bolt on the left hand side of the filler neck
Then follow the corrugated hose to the point where it connects to the bottle, then pull and twist until it slides off
Now it is removed, pull the hose from the filler neck and replace with new one.
This is the old and the new, the old one had slightly different ribbing and was very stiff
Now re-install the new hose to the bottle with a twisting pushing action, replace the bolt, fill your bottle and done!
All for $13 and no more than 5 minutes of your time
