Put my money where my mouth is today.... White manual with Roof. Delivery about October maybe November... Will make a nice birthday present to myself... Bit disappointed about no paddle shifters..... But what do u do... Maybe if I had studied harder at school I could'be bought a C63 but I'm living within my means these days. I like to think that this GTS will BE the bee's knees! Happy Days ahead.
Since I spun my first big end I'd tend to disagree with you.
If you've got time to look down at HSV's location for the oil pressure gauge, you're not driving in a situation conducive to oil pressure issues. High RPM + high load? Don't think I'd be taking a break to check out my lower centre console, certainly didn't when things went crunch bang bang mid corner last time.
Happiness isn't around the corner... it IS the corner
It's funny you say that!
I need to drive it now and see senator. Gt has left big boots to fill from a drivetrain perspective and no doubt GTS will match/beat it but need to drive one.
I have been impressed with what I have seen thus far, interior is brilliant, rear end very very nice. Front, well it's a case of function dictating form but nice.
HSV have done a good job from what I know thus far. Great job really.
I wonder when we can see different colour combinations of the range ? Surely HSV picked the white GTS to launch with because it looks the best in white ? Will the other colours make it lose its appeal ?
Have a play on the HSV site. Gives an idea. When I put a deposit I specified Silver or White and firmed that up to white because the silver looked a bit bland. I was interested in a grey of some sort however I was under the impression it would be back to Evoke which is too brown for my liking. The grey is a new colour but does look just like evoke. I was hoping there was a silver car at the launch for a comment here but no bananas. So I am waiting on final $ for car including boot lid spoiler rather than wing and SV wheels.
Always have been and always will be a consumer advocate, getting the best price is the name of the game, rather than let the dealers pick each buyer off one by one, use combined buying power, 50 GTSs is $5 mill contract worth of cars, dealers would be jumping over each other to win that, get price down to around $80k, each buyer gets their own option and nominate deliv date, if you lead the charge, may as way lead the buy
Give me a Senator with all GTS add on's: Brakes, MRC, Diff, ENGINE and ill buy one. OR add the passenger mirror dips in reverse and driver seat memory to the GTS and loose the wing and I'll buy that, although I like the Senator front better.
Probably easier to put the grille and front bar onto the GTS.
Agree that we need to drive or at least see one. Look is definitely growing on me as we see more pics. I just can't bring myself to order one sight unseen just yet. That probably means getting one next year if I remain interested. Is the LT1 due in the other models in 12 months or is that likely further away? I'm just balking a bit at the >$100,000 price with uncertain resale etc. Especially as a Senator with an LT1 would be cheaper.
And have cooling issues?
Anyone ordering one in the new colour "regal peacock"bahah, has to be one of the funniest names for a colour I've read in a while. Nice to see some marketing types have a sense of humour. Colour could be good though. It's sort of a British Racing Green from the website. Looks good with the yellow calipers. Has my taste deteriorated over the years?
