I’m impressed by both cars.

Though it’s hard to believe we now live in a time where a 2litre 4 cylinder factory car can keep a 6.2litre V8 in its sights.

It would be interesting to see some in gear times as the GTS still appears to be a little slow getting its power down but has a big rush once moving.

The Benz would win for me as the smaller car better suits our lifestyle.

Is what it is I guess.. would of liked to see it roll 120mph.

Probably the same deal as the Falcons, keep them gentle in the lower gears.

This was one of my first thoughts, it does look like it labours around the start. One of my other thoughts was damn that merc is ugly. But the GTS does look proper quick from half track.

well... I had a street registered 6 cyl LJ Torrie that ran a 12.2 at 119 at Calder

Expectations are high given that it's a pretty serious engine combo for a show room floor Holden with a 100k price tag, but for a 1900kg family car, I think that 12.2 @ 117mph is quite impressive. It didn't look like it launched that hard either, so there might be more in it.

With a re-tune of the engine and gearbox, you would think a decent 11 second pass is there for the taking, that's pretty awesome for a factory car IMO.
