I believe the floor pan was even fibreglass on the C2, I know my C3 has fibreglass floor

but the later C3 model (than mine, from memory I reckon it was 1976?) upgraded to metal floors which rusted.

Some details about the changes below, my memory was correct about the 1976 being the first model have steel floor sections.

    Keep digging....

    C2 Fibreglass body...

C2 Fibreglass body panel, in original manufacturing production plant.

C2 steel bird cage, which the Fibreglass body panels are bonded too.

No... Steel floor or body panels in C2 it was Fiberglass!!!...

    C2 convertible steel birdcage.

C3 1968 to 1975 steel birdcage, No... Steel floor, with Fibreglass body panels.

C3 1976 -1982 steel birdcage, first introduced steel floor, but still with Fibreglass body panels.

The original pic you posted was of a "Purple C2 Corvette Convertible."

C2 Corvette's have Fiberglass body panels, including Fibreglass floor panels... bonded to the steel bird cage...

No Steel body panels or Steel floor pan for C2 Corvette... that's a Fact...
