Number Plates Victoria

I applied to Vicroads for the following number plate

XRKILA

The lady told me it was available and asked me to wait. At the time I thought nothing of it but the lady then said they had recently banned number plates that incite dangerous driving or racing. Apparently some kids died in a car with a similar plate.

Has anyone heard of this before.

In retrospect I tend to agree and I am now back to the drawing board

Go to another Vic Roads and try again. Don't tell them what it actually means, just make something up.

It must depend on who you speak to because today I saw a VZ with the number plate C0CKYR.
I thought c0ck would be banned....

*Please note I used the number "0" instead of the letter "o" so you it didnt get ****YR

someone died in a crash with a number plate starting with D....... they should ban all D registration plates!
Oh and white cars are the most dangerous, because more white cars crash on avg every day

You may not have plates that advertise or promote speeding, including a speed in the plate (eg. 200KMH). Although, it is up to the person who sells you the plate to decide this, if they say no come back on a different day when they arn't working or go to a different branch.

I'd claim discrimination - by withholding your democratic choice of non-offensive numberplate, they are implying that you intend to break the law. Or something...!
