Holy Fark....8's!!!!!
Congratulations to cat12z and Plan B.
Well done to Craig 'cat12z' Hanley and Peter 'PlanB' Haylock on getting the CAPA sponsored VU SS ute down WSID today with an 8.9 second pass at 150 odd mph. Awesome work, particularly from a stock cube 346 with a Vortech T Trim blower!
Entry level engine/blower and a record setting time
Cheers from the SA crew who know how hard both you guys have worked.
Holy Fark....8's!!!!!
Congratulations to cat12z and Plan B.
LEGENDS....
I remember when Pete (Plan B) took it in to the 12,s just a few years back...
Regards
Goran "Elite SS"
Great to see a supercharged car make it into the 8s pretty much straight up. Those guys know what they are doing. Time to put their 'big' engine in rather than the piddly '346 stocker' strap on a Vortech V7YSi, and head out for some 7s!
I remember talking to Craig just as the car was nearing completion, it sounded mighty impressive then.
Hearing it's done an 8 (on stock cubes)...well that's just a whole new level of impressiveness.
'grats. Wish I was there to see it.
Cheers,
- Febs.
Well done Craig well deserved.
Fantastic results.
Look forward to the results when the heavy hitter is in!
well done guys great effort
OMG! Congratulations. Please post timeslip; every number will be incredible...
What weight is that thing running?
good work guys.
congratulations !!!
The simple engine is still the original “Little Blower That Could”. Now after 18,000k’s.
For the onlookers who don’t know Craig from Craig’s Automatic Transmissions, Craig is one of the nicest blokes around as well as one of the most focused automatic transmission builders for our cars with LS1’s in our country.
This was just Craig’s license pass today so now he is ready to go racing under the full current ANDRA spec. Congratulations goes towards Craig for completing the car working perfectly!
CAPA is certainly next to Craig’s Automatics in my mind as being one of the more focused companies around who totally backs their products and really understands their stuff with out a doubt! A very basic 346 with a T trim does this with ease! Yep!
Dominator Converters are also one of the Key Players behind this deal. Being able to bring everything together consistently and understand exactly what is going on, is just an awesome deal with torque converters. Great stuff considering the car MPH’d like a direct drive with no loss for the given flywheel HP.
Tuna….. We love you mate. Thanks! BIG TIME….
Street Car Fabrications…. Dialed the chassis in and it points like an arrow!
The car will support 3 times the power currently produced and 8’s is good for what it is…. Really! Though it’s a little unshapely during the wheel spinning launch, it’s hardly worth dealing with it at this stage as more power will alter the launch. Stay tuned!!!
Here’s a 7meg video of the run today!
