will 17 inch wheels fit on the rear of a ve ssv, i want to run a semi slick tyre for drag racing, want to use 275 and the largest you can get them is in 17 inch

i ran the VY SV8 rims on the rear of mine with ET Streets for one night at the drags.
recommend hub spaces if u do so weight isnt all on the studs

yep i just picked some up today to race with on saturday, i was wondering wat the spacers were there for becuase they fitted without them

Sorry to drag up an old post but I figured better than starting a new one...

Just wondering what the deal is with the spacers to reduce load on studs ??

I think that they may just need the hub ring being that earlier models have a slightly bigger hub outer, would love to know as well?????

Ahhhh my bad I actuallty read it wrong. I was thinking a different spacer that brings the rims away from the strut.

Yes pre VE model rims have a larger spigot diameter, as discussed in all the threads that talk about machining out the diameter to fit VE wheels on earlier models.
Failure to hub locate a rim heavily loads the studs, and can lead to catastrophic failure.
