Been getting some noises in the Crewie of late & was suspecting rear suspension, one noise that could only be compared to a pinging noise! I checked with Sonny & said it was definitely not engine detonation. The more I thought it was either possible axle float causing the abs rings to touch the backing plates or shocks.
Anyway noted my mate IJ had a set of Koni Reds for sale so took them off his hands & installed them this morning. About an hours round job doing with trolley jack & a few stands. Hardest part was undoing the single lower attaching bolt into the leaf carrier. Found the culprit in the old shockers were at some stage they had been loose & shagged out the stepped section that insulates to the body...hence that pinging type noise.
As IJ mentioned just fitted em up with the soft setting & they're just beaut! Thanks mate
