Let's hope the long wait for VF has been worth it and that Holden doesn't price it out of the market.

Essentially both companies are building similar number of cars. From a locally built perspective, Toyota is selling more Camry and considering it is sedan only plus presumably Aurion numbers are additional to Camry. Not to forget though Holden has Cruze, so about 3800 locally built passenger cars for a month for Holden.
What about the Captiva?

Going to have my first look in the flesh at the VF's.....a Calais wagon (not sure if it's a V) and a ute (not sure which model). They are press cars so can't drive them but at least can see them finally

Am keen to see the VF do well. Seems to have made some big improvements. Shame Holden (and Ford) in Australia were a little slow getting up to speed with technology. Hopefully they keep it up.

They can market all right can't wait to see one but Holden need to sort out pricing.
Seems all utes are 3K less and same for the Redline but misses Bose and sunroof or am I missing something?
Maybe there in the back with a note saying "best of luck we couldn't find where to put them but hey you paid for them so see how you go!"

I didn't like the early crap about goosebumps and all that....then it got to the US bit. Goosebumps.

Nice ad, would have liked to see more shots that showcased the interior a little more.

I was looking at it from locally built perspective, so I didn't bring Captiva into it.

Ad is pretty good. I have read a heap of the comments elsewhere on the web about a real man doesn't need auto parking and if you can't park then hand your license in, but the reality is that there are lots of people who pass the test and then never have to reverse park for years and then when they do they gutter the wheels so that is the last they try. This at least means that the bulk of the car and the non dipping mirror (which pisses me off no end) aren't a big deal. I'm girl enough to admit I will use it, so what? I use the cruise control too. And ESC. And ABS etc etc.
