    Capital SMART Insurance Repairs

    Hey Guys,

Have you guys heard of Capital SMART repairs? My wife got T-boned over the weekend in our Grand Cherokee and it's been booked in by the insurance company to be done at one of these captial SMART centers. They reckon they can turn a car around in 3 days which had me a little concerned. Just looking to see if anyone had any experience with one of these centers. As far as I understand it they pretty much just swap out all the damaged panels which is what I thought most traditional panel beaters did anyway?

    Cheers!

Yeah, I've bailed on them after finding some reviews. They do have some happy customers but they sound like minor bingles. I have used Coorparoo Paint and Panel in the past and have been very happy with them so I've booked for a quote. Might take longer but I don't have the time to keep going back for reworks.

    Re: Capital SMART Insurance Repairs

Had my VZ daily repaired there last year. Its not quite the same as it was, the boot floor was bent slightly in the crash, they repaired all that, but the boot doesn't close the same way it it before.
I took it back but they just did a quick fix (boot alignment) on it, (slight improvement) they said I could take it back to get it all re-done properly but that'll be another 2 weeks without the car, can't be bothered really. Its just so typical of these dodgy repairers.

They seem to be like a franchise repairer with branches everywhere? I dunno. They're probably run by the insurance companies too. I reckon its all a bit dodgy. Probably best to keep away.

    Re: Capital SMART Insurance Repairs

I had a an Amorak run into the back of my little 2012 Fiesta punched in the hatch, bent rear panel, boot floor, bumper bar etc. Insurance repair with Capital Smart. I have no problem with it, from what I can see they use all new parts, paint looks fine. The main body work of my Fiesta was still OK after the accident in that no problems closing the doors no crease in the roof line etc. Seems to be a good job to me.
