The problem with what you want is that the car is built by Holden. HSV basically do limited bolt ons. The lack of flexibilty at Holden is most notoriously exhibited in the manufacturing process of the W427. If your idea for tick-a-box options were limited to basic bolt ons such as wheels, springs, dampers, seats, seat trim, exhaust, CAI, I think you have a hope, but not if it means ripping out Engines or Gearboxs, the W427 experience rules that out at any sensible cost.

I get what you are saying, but really to have all the drivetrain parts ready to go at elizabeth, once the order is placed for a LSA'd engine 6 speed manual to go into a LWB car; its not exactly hard to program it in to the automation process. I can understand holden not doing it for holden cars ie V8 omega, as it will then detract from the SS sale but I think it is a viable option for HSV to keep both the original hardcore and the newer less passionate fans happy
