I recently purchased a VT2 LS1 with 105,000km. all service history and nice looking car.
I had the car mafless tuned. The tune in the car was interrogated and the following noted..
Timing had been advanced from standard by a fair bit
Fuel curve seemed to be standard
In power mode rev limit was only 5000rpm
In normal mode the gears seemed to hang on longer than power mode
All torque management software was on
Knock sensor was pulling 10 degrees timing if knocked
Lean cruise deactivated
Maf was retained
Car went fine and didnt make any strange noises but tuner was confused at what was trying to be acheived with the tune? Car had standard headers and cats on it, cheapo SS inductions intake and Redback catback.
Any ideas? Economy tune? Some backyarder tried to tune it previously?
Now has a proper tune and drives much better.
