Classy ute, classy photography .But has there ever been a bad photo of a maloo. I think i will take a lesson in photography from this and pick destinations and light a bit more carefully.

camera angles ALWAYS make a shot look better...
i always try to take shots from headlight height so you get a more even look to the car... if you are up too high the car seems to look small, and won't appear to look in scale and proportion in the frame...
its ok if you are aiming for the effect or want a shot into an engine bay...

also pay careful attention to the angle the sun is, or where lighting is coming from, and how the car looks in its surroundings...
and get yourself a semi-decent tripod too if you plan to take a lot of dark photo's in low light situations... you'll really notice a difference!!!

look at things other than the car... look for people walking around that might appear to be walking in the car or appear to stick out of the roof... be careful not to have power poles, street signs, tree branches and the like coming out of the roof...

but in this age of digital camera's you really can't go wrong!!!
so get out with your car and have a play, its the best way to learn!!!

hey man, thanks for the comments...
i cruise around launny a little bit... not as much as i used to though, just go out for a look around and to show off a bit... hehe
what do you drive? i'll keep an eye out for ya next time i'm out and about...
i am in tascommodores but don't go on many cruises, i just browse the forums and post every now and then and go to their annual private drag day...

anyway - back on topic - here are some pictures i took of the ute, and a couple of others, on sunday when we went out for a cruise...

these two are not LS1's but still tough old girls...

this one runs a stock 308 with a twin tunnel ram manifold and 600 vac sec holly's... over carb'd to buggery but looks tough!!! stroker coming soon, he's just working from top to bottom

this one has an injected 355 with a baby cam, t5 box, short 9", mini tubs and some fat 295 rear tyres... currently having manifolds made up to go big single turbo some time late in the year!

    Hey TAKEITEZ,

Those pics of different utes confirm my taste. The VY Maloo is the best looking ute, period, no contest.

    Thanks mate.

    Re: The Ute Gallery

Anyone got any pics of the black VE CAPA ute. I saw it on a tilt tray on the weekend & darn is it sexy. The VE SS looked somehow a little wang to me but that ute is the tits. Nothing on CAPA's site about it.
