have them on a seden
they ride pretty nicely for a lowered car. much better ride than my cv8 which had springs and shocks.
not sure about any of the hole drilling and what not. had them installed by a suspension place.
I'm going to get my VE Ute fitted with Tein coilovers next week..Just wondering how many ppl out there have had them fitted and what they think also thigs to look out for...I have been alerted to the position of the holes that need to be drilled in the real tray liner.. Anyone else had any experiences with their VE's?

ive had them done,i didnt have the holes drilled, but the ride is good, fully adjustable, and better then shocks and springs. had them fitted at fulcrum,First class service
cheers
Just had mine installed on my SS-V Ute yesterday.
Ride is good. I haven't even opened the back up yet, but I asked them about putting holes in the tray liner and they said yes they do that.
The book I received with the kit actually says they they should remove the liner and drill the holes in the tray only.. and "we do not recommend drilling holes in the tray liner, as unbolting the tray liner to gain access is easy enough" .. Screw that, I'd rather just have the holes in the liner personally.
Cheers,
Dan
i dont know if the V8 ute is as heavy in the front as the the sedan...but i could not stand the bottoming out of the std coil spring in the tein shock setup for the VE V8 ...the banging on small bumps was unbearable....so i fitted some king springs that are 325LB race springs & new bump stops...that fixed that problem and is now lovely to drive...if you are thinking of these tein coilovers for your VE V8 upgrade to this type of spring before you fit the STD tein coilover setup ..trust me it is needed....
i have had the teins on my VE SSV sedan since the time they were available.
also upgraded the front springs to the higher spring rate Kings Race springs cold wound ones to help with understeer at the track.
smaller bumpstops were done at the time of the coilovers.
speak to fulcrum suspension in brisbane and they can supply, install, advice etc all ur needs on the Teins as they are the Aus distributor.
really depends on what you want to use the car for.
since the coilovers with upgraded front springs i have since done the Superpro void bushes, Superpro front castor rod bushes, whiteline front and rear adjustable sway bars, etc etc.....
The Tein Kit comes with lowered bumpstops
But i dont know if ignition has gotten some differnt ones or not.
I personally am very happy with the teins, i have had the holes drilled in the tub liner. the grommets hide it well, and its just a liner anyway!
Hey Dan,
Stoked you liked the height.
I would still love to go further but its not practical....
I got the boys at WA suspension to do it. Great crew and awesome job.

Ah k
I had to drive up from Busso so I might see how difficult it is to adjust them with the tools they supplied.
Cheers

Lowering it will be easy Dan,
Do it yourself, just make sure you get a good wheel alighnment when its done
Number55 would you be able to put up some pics of your car..I still cant see anyones profiles yet.. would be good to see how ur car looks.. Do you have your teins set for a low ride hight? Im probaly going to run it mid way so it rides well around town and drop it for the track.. IS it much of a drama raising and lowering? I realize I will have to take the wheels off
the new spring rate is perfect for the VE V8...it needed more than just shorter bump stops... here is the part # for the king springs..
springs are part #KPS-136...the spring is 200/65/8.5/325lb & the upgraded bump stop kit is #SPF1832K not shorter ...better ..you can purchase all you need from Fulcrum suspension...
In BNE I will not take my car any where else other than Fulcrum there at Moorooka for suspension.
