so awesome![]()
This is my current project car. I had a VX Clubby a while back and loved the easy power the LS1 made. Then I found a project that combined my love for the old Zed shape and the LS1. I picked the car up with the mod plates already completed but the engine was harldy running and clutch had never been bleed properly so the Zed had never moved under LS1 power. I fixed up amost of the probs, installed Autometer gauges in the dash with the help of this forum so I knew what the engine (and 6 speed) were doing. The car has the following mods:
LS1 with mafless tune and stand alone PCM
6 speed box
R200 diff with LSD center
Custom tail shaft
Z32 front and rear calipers and discs
Coil over suspension
After repainting it myself I registered it about three weeks ago. I weighed it at work on day and it was 1150kg's without me in it. On a seperate occasion with my work gear in it and a full tank it was 1200kgs and when I backed the rear wheels off it was 600kg, exactly 50:50 weight distribution. Let me tell you this car is quick in a straight line too. The acceleration of such a light chassis is unreal. I'm not sure where to estimate my current rwkw at as the engine still has the LS1 manifold and injectors and valve springs. So it doesn't pull much after 5 grand. I have all the pieces I need to bring it up to LS6 status which it what the tuned PCM is set for so it can only get better after these items are installed. As well as some PAC 1218 valve springs. I cannot imagine what it will be like with a cam and some heads.![]()
Next to it's little (big) brother.

wow! that is seriously cool well done mate
Wish I tried to keep or get my 280zx LS1 engineered, but I only really wanted a track bi-atch. Nice job, change the cam and springs and then you will love it. I'm actually going to redo my exhaust and put a single plane mainfold on mine.
This is AWSOME!
wow... love the 240
