Hi-Torque no doubt. No bullshit and know what they are doing. Diagnosed problems with my car in a matter of minutes, when others were clueless and guessing.... my tune is spot on also, I was quiet specific on some things, wasn't an issue for them at all.

No experience with these guys but take some general advice on this topic. From experience with several different workshops, make sure your tuner is interested in answering your questions and listening to your needs. People like you and I are passionate about our cars and what might sound like an ignorant question to someone that knows their stuff, is important to you as the customer. My experience with tuners has been positive in terms of the end result, but some are much better in the customer service attitudes than others. Ie, they won't make it seem too difficult when you ask for assistance.

Have just had tune done at FAT333 Performance at Salisbury. Great service & have had good reports from others that i`ve spoken too as well. I don`t trust to many people to do work on my pride & joy. Cheers.

sorry for the thread hijack but it seemed relevant.
I also live in the south brisbane area I'm about to fit myself a 2.5 xforce stainless system with pacemakers and std cats, also looking at getting the VCM OTR from ebay with all the infill panels (unless anybody know's where i can get it cheaper ?)
My question is what did you end up paying for just a tune ? I'm also torn as to go Maf or Mafless (before i buy the otr)

Re: recomendations needed for a tune

Whilst where on the subject I'm hoping that some fellow forum members could help me better decide which tuner to use,

i can't decide over 2 Hi-Torque Automotive and OzTrack Tuning i've asked them both for quotes on a OTR CAI and Mafless tune

Hi-Torque uses the VCM intake and OzTrack uses the Duspeed intake.
I like the look of the VCM one better with all the infill panels and front panel but would like opinions of both from people with them.

I'm based south of brisbane so Hi-Torque is close and they seem to know what there talking about.
Steve at OzTrack took the time to have a long chat about the mods and came across the phone as a top bloke and pretty switched on, he suggested tuning my car remotely with EFI live, what are people's experiences with this Will the tune still be as nice as if the tuner had the car there and on the dyno ? as Hi-Torque could.
One thing that really appealed to me though about OzTrack is that i read somewhere that he has owned a VE V8 A6 and spent the time on his own car and developed a great tune for the auto also as well as the engine.

Both of the tuners commented that with a mafless tune the engine would run smoother and the tuning would be more precise, What are peoples experiences with mafless tunes from these two tuners ?

Sorry if this is a thread hijack again but i thought it would be better to add to this one rather than start another thread on the same subject
