    CV8Z Monaro

I have a CV8Z Monaro that leaks inside the vehicle quite badly. It does not appear to be through the sunroof, I reakon its coming of the windscreen and leaking through at the back of the engine bay area. Also suffers from a seized electric seat. I am happy with this vehicle although it does suffer from a number of quirky problems. Any knowledge or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

    Welcome to the forum !!!
A windscreen leak would be pretty unusual. Most leaks are from behind the door cards (ie the internal plastic lining comes adrift - allowing water to run the back of the door card/insert, pool in the lower door seal & overflow onto the carpet). Maybe your winscreen has been replaced at some time & not properly sealed ???
As for the seat - have you inspected the wiring loom underneath the seat. Maybe a back seat passenger has stuck their foot under the front seat & accidentally loosened the wiring harness.... If not, then an auto electrician should be able to work out if the problem is motor or switch related - there usually pretty reliable.

    Re: CV8Z Monaro

OMG. Driving through heavy rain last weekend in my CV8-Z, rain started coming through the roof too! Appears to be from the top of the windscreen just in front of left sun visor thing. Drips through the black cloth roof lining stuff.

I had my windscreen replaced around a year ago for roadworthy - I'm assuming they didn't do the best job. Water was just dripping through very slowly. Was going to just ask mechanic to check it out during the next service...

Top left or right corners is common in vt-VX to leak, nothing a little sikaflex can't fix
