great result Nick, bet it's fun to drive
My ride had a few upgrades lately so I thought I would start a new thread. All the work on my car has been done by Eddy and Shane at Active Automotives and I cant speak highly enough about thier work. Car was in and out of the shop in a couple of days couldnt be happier with it since the charger has gone on, love the sound. Nice a quiet until you get above the 2500Rpm mark and then the blower whine comes to life.
Thought I'd do a bit of a story line on the build of my car since new... This is how she stands now;

That blower looks familiar...
Sweet ride mate, very impressive numbers, got the torque numbers available?
I have to ask but why with 410rwkw do you only run 116mph? According to the apparent bible it should near 130mph. Its an honest question and i'm not trying to bag your car in any way im just interested why alot of supercharged VE's appear to be so slow. I've wanted to blow mine for ages but it worries me spending 15k for it to be not much faster than it is cammed. To be honest i don't understand how the morroso calculator thing can be accurate anyway.
Well well Nikki look what you have been upto
Well done mate and just keeps getting better!
GM: Has millions of dollars and highly trained engineers.

nice one nick, u cheaky SNEAKY kunt, took us all by surprize at WAW lol hahaha
BEARWOOD- everyones soooooo cought up in these damn calculators and mph shiit, take into account its NEW to nick and alot different to drive than just your average "cammed" VE, revs points change, shift points change, u end up changing gears alot quicker, and u have to learn the strip over again as its just like a new car.
My clubby is a 6.2ltr,cammed,blown (mp1900), 60lb inj, fuel system, vcm,'pacemakes, 3" etc...... was tuned at the time of 554rwhp and managed a 11.7@ 121mph on et's, so as u can see the weather, the track and the driver play a big part in your ET.....
I have had a retune and bumped it up to 570rwhp (425rwkw) and am hoping to see mid to low 11's when i get better at it, every run im learning my car.
there's a little comparison for ya, try not to get cought up to much with these calculators, i no i dont
Nick has alotta practice ahead of him and im sure he'll be down in the mid 11's soon with me
congrats nick, u done well

640rwhp of pure awesomeness
Ye i agree with you but it seems alot of people tell you how fast it should be if its making a certain amount of power so its hard not to want to understand it. Like i said i cant see how these things can be accurate for every vehicle and driver and conditions etc..but it still worries me if i get in it after a blower and it appears no quicker to drive.
think you'll find that wont be the case, when i had the blower added, u could'nt wipe the smile off my face if u tried
as for ppl "telling"u how fast they "should" be going.......... take it with a grain of salt, there NOT "pro's", there NOT "perfect", there NOT "you".., U can only do there best U can do.
if someone said I should be going faster (like 130mph)..... to fukn bad,.... IM driving, thats the best I can do for now, I know it can go alittle faster once i start to ace stuff, maybe 125/127mph tops and i'll be stoked with that.
At the end of the day, who are they to tell u how fast u should be going... there NO-ONE special.
just my 2c anyway

Bearwood, I have to agree, the mph is a bit low - especially considering my heavier wagon did 118mph cam only on street tyres
However, his is manual and the driver is a big part of it there - I assume that if a experienced 1/4 mile driver was in the car, the mph and et would improve greatly
1beast2nv - if you really have 425rwkw, give the car to someone else to see what mph etc they pull
I completely agree, when i did the 121mph pas that was with 410rwkw, I have no doubt an experienced driver could pull more than me for sure
I have'nt had a chance to get back with the new tune, so we'll see if there's much improvement in time
anyways, nick back to u, get some et's, wait for this hot WA weather to piss off and heaps better et's to come.
enjoy![]()

Thanks Guys,
Yeah I know the MPH is down, that was my first and only runs so far at the plex with the blower on... Still trying to get used to it, give me some time and practice and I'll get it up there. You have to remember the day was 40C, Kev was getting the same MPH as well until later in the night.

good to see you posted the old timeslip from one of the occasions I won the race .. thanks Nick
Fully agree on the track/driver/weather variances .. we arent playing for sheep stations and no one can get a perfect pass every time, next time out I know the numbers will improve Nick ( sneaky bastard )
ps, seems like everything posted on here now gets critisised so dont bother responding --- lovers will love it , haters will hate it..![]()
