    Thanks mate

Black M6 SS with leather. I don't think I'll ever be able to drive a V6 let alone a 4 cyl ever again after this car!

As long as the yard is responsible for any mechanical problems with the loan car you should be ok.It could work out better for you as it protects you against any unforseen mechanical problems or an accident with your car
    Who is the dealer?
I got it from Phil at Suttons Chullora. So far I am happy with the service provided.

I think as long as they don't change the deal on you (and you don't change your mind), it should be OK. Sometimes I think they do this where the trade in price might be different by the time the new wheels arrive. For example say your car has 98,000 Km on it, and they believe if you go over 100,000 Km the trade in will be worth less. Sounds like you've done well, $4500 over an SV6 sounds a fair deal.

They gave me a better price on my trade than the other holden dealers so I am guessing whichever wholesaler offered them that probably would not offer the same deal if it involves a 6 week wait. I could wait a couple of weeks before giving my car to them but I may go tomorrow and do it and see what SV6 I get - it'll probably be an auto.

    Re: SV6 vs SS Purchase

I know that if you purchased an sv6 over the SS you would always regret not going the V8, resale values aside. And who wants a car that every snotty nosed p plater has.

Good call mate, good call. You won't regret it. I made the same decision five years ago and still love my SS

How do i find out the proper specs of the car eg. Does it have an LSD fitted, what model gearbox it is, does the manual still use the L98 engine?

Should have alll that info on the build plate. Manuals use the L98 and you will have a LSD...

    Re: SV6 vs SS Purchase

    Congrats,

Yep, the SV6 is definitely 'good enough' and it is adequate, but it has no character or attitude like a V8 does.

The V8 is perfect if you want something extra special.

    Enjoy.
