the problem with common sense is it's not that common
Tough as mate
Finally some progress has started on getting the SS into a 10second pass, my Koni adjustable 90/10 shocks arrived today and my new 60lb injectors have been sent off to be flow tested and checked for my E85 tune next SaturdayI have bought a 4cyl daily driver so the Ss can get a little more serious now. I am also removing the rear donut and changing to a uni setup for strength when racing. I will be taking the car to Calder park on the 16th of march for a test fingers crossed nothing breaks
With the current compression ratio of 10.9/1 the e85 should still see some increases in torque and hp but the idea is when I finally get some cnc ported heads I will raise the compression up to 12.5/1 which will net some bigger increases. Will be good too actually see what differences it will make with fuel change and tune only, will post the results next weekend..

Another quick update, my compcam rocker trunion upgrade showed up this morning so I will be having a play with them today and tomorrow will post some more pics once they are being put together. Also my injectors are back from being cleaned and flowed and will be ready for some Dyno time this weekend

Definetly mate thats the aim, just need mine to launch like yours hopefully with the 90/10's and 3.91 gears it should![]()

20mins after the trunions arrived I go to it. I couldnt beleive how easy this was all up it took just over an hour to have the whole set fitted and ready to put the clips on. If anyone wants any information or tips please inbox me. Will bolt them back the car tonight when my circlip plyers get delivered back to me.

Tomorrow is the dayThe car has been sitting on the dyno for a week now, ready for the E85 tune. The tuning was meant occur last Saturday but the temps inside the dyno room were above 45 degrees so we decided to re-schedule to tomorrow instead. I also purchased some new spark plug leads as they are the single item that i have not replaced since the engine rebuild last year. I ended up purchasing some moroso items. I will post results as soon as we start doing some power runs.

How did your trunions go mate? Any ones that are stiff to rotate?
keep me updated!
Massive week tuning and playing on the Dyno with the E85, the tune is perfect starts first flick and the a/f is bang in what it should be, the car seems a fair bit louder than whn it did on the 98 fuel, it's using plenty of E85 at WOT, the 60lb Injectors are pumping out just on 80% duty and the engine is loving the fuel change, it seems much more responsive and revs up much cleaner and smells awesomeas for over all power figure there is not much in it over the 98 octane pump fuel that the car was on previously, it feels much more torquey and we couldn't ramp it up at lower speeds as it kept on spinning the tyres hard on the Dyno, I havnt really pulled out the fine comb and review the 2 Dyno sheets to see if the car is making more torque lower in the rev range yet but the track will definetly give me these results also. This setup has never pushed out good numbers on the Dyno as previously it made high 260's low 270's rwks but on the track it ran 125mph which is all it matters to me.
The last peice of the puzzle was fitted up this morning I managed to pick up some ET drag Mickey thompson slicks which are 26X8.5x15 so I'm hoping this should help with consistency when I'm racing it next Friday. I havnt taken the car for a drive yet but I will on Monday and will definetly know weather it's picked up any torque or not.
