Looks good and will be even better once it's done. Build the engine like the fast and the furious one, hahaha. Be sure to keep the thread updated please. Chargers look the goods
I used to own a V8 Charger a few years ago.
My son Michael who is now 21 has decided to build one up for himself.
Bought this 1972 VH Charger 770 last weekend, had been sitting outside for a few years and has no running gear at all, used to have a 265 Hemi 6 cylinder
and we are going to build up a 360 V8 for it and hope to make it into another great fun cruiser and quick street car.
It is just a body shell at the moment, needs full body restoration, full re trim, electrics and running gear.
I have quite a number of mates who own and have owned quick Chryslers over the years and are keen and willing to help him.
At this stage he wants to colour change it to a Chrysler colour called "Limelight" which is a bright lime green/yellow colour and
the interior will be done in black.
Anyway he is hoping to have this on the road by Christmas this year so there is plenty of work to be done.
I am planning to update this thread from time to time to keep up with the build.

Beauuuuuutiful mate!! Chryslers are still my passion (even tho i don't currently own one!) i just love 'em. i can't explain the vibe that draws me to 'em, but in my time - like ur good self - i have had many. they r all fondly remembered and some of the greatest times in life had a Chrysler in 'em! go for it with the rebuild......a 360 is NICE. ur boy has good taste, a credit to u sir!
Very nice mate. Keeping a close eye on this thread...
ed will be interesting following this one. I remember I used to work with an old guy that had one of these in immaculate condition, the thing looked like it had been restored but it hadnt it had just been well looked after since new and it was his daily
I'm not a hoon, I'm just competitive
I like this one because it is 5/1972 build so it only has up to ADR 26.![]()
We had the Chrysler show couple of weeks ago in Albury, fark me there was some
big set ups going around.
Tell your son congratulations, love the old chargers, really look forward to seeing how this comes together, keep us updated
Cheers
Matt
Thanks for all the positive comments guys.![]()
This looks like a great project Ed, I look forward to seeing it when it's finished
Nice one Ed, looking forward to seeing it progress. I still miss my CL 318 4Speed Charger![]()
Been out this afternoon and bought a standard size bore 360 block for it.
Got to shop around and start buying some more bits.
One of my good Chrysler mates put me onto it, standard bore size 40 years old is pretty rare.
