Davo has been a very useful contributor here over the years. Sure he likes to troll some people and lots of people seem extra keen to jump on the troll Davo bandwagon but I think a ban is a bit over the top. Just IMHO

If you are looking at spending W427 money I reckon you have to seriously consider a Nissan GTR. Sure, no V8 note but when the back of your head is firmly embedded in the headrest that will be the last thing on your mind!

    I have a solution.

    Better than a V8 note
Around as quick as a GTR

    A fraction of the price.

MMMM yummy! A mate has booked a test ride for two days when they land. I hope to get a ride of it...It may well just convince me to upgrade my 1098.

I think you are completely right. This 31 page thread may be the last blip from a frustrated set of loyal followers for both Holden/HSV and the Forum. 1 year ++ may be too long to wait for a VF for those that are due for a replacement ... Once you go, you may never come back ... GTR?

i agree completely i am ready to upgrade my07 senator ,which has been a cracker ,and i wait with baited breath for a supercharged version ,however i sometimes wonder if we are now really starting to head more into the economy milleneum, and the support for our type of cars is starting to wane to such a degree that the manufactureres are really starting to consider if it is viable to continue with the old philosophy of the big V8

Bit dramatic isn't it mate? I mean 317kw is more than enough power for 85-90% of people out there.

Pretty sure this forum is made up of people in the remaining 10-15%. How many of us don't fvck without cars.. Not many, so clearly 317 isn't enough for our demographic.

Id say closer to 95% of people. It wouldn't matter if they came out with 400kw it still wouldn't be enough for some people and i'm probably one of them, but i doubt they are building cars to cater for a very small minority. Most people on here are obviously in the wrong industry because if you listen to them they apparently know more than anyone at Holden or HSV, i would love to see the company after letting them run it for a few years/model changes.

HSV need to release an affordable car that can run consistent 12 second passes out of the box. All of the competition does it already. Who cares what the badge says when the things run 13 second time cards. Its not fast enough for a $100K performance car - and that is the problem. They are currently in no-mans land

No it needs to run 11's
Then with a tune and exhaust we have 10's
Under a bonnet listening for knock with my earmuffs on

If the new one is > $150K it will have to if they want to sell it. The market expect that now, and there ARE cars in that price segment that get the job done easy.
