    Stainless Camlock fittings

I'm trying to find a place that sells camlock fittings for a decent price.

I found this US based shop, but they wont ship to Australia
    http://www.bargainfittings.com/index...ory&path=51_54

    I'm after 10 x Camlock type C and 10 x Type F, and a few spare gaskets.
Works out a bit over $100 (plus shipping) from the above store, but I have have been quoted well over $300 locally. I'm also going to grab a few other bits, It's for a hobby and it's just becoming too expensive.

We buy all our S/S camlock fittings from Blackwoods for work, but they are 50,100,150,200mm fittings. Worth a shot.

If you know the weight and what not, just use the us address websites and they forward it to you. Or even a forum member in the us, I havnt done it but heard they've been helpful in the past

We also use Blackwoods (we're affiliated with them) but never use stainless. Either cast alloy or brass - preferably the latter as the alloy ones are quite brittle.
    Any reason you need stainless?

Thanks for the ideas about a US ship and forward place, and also Blackwoods. I would prefer to get them from Australia if it doesn;t get too expensive as we use 1/2" BSP (15mm), when US uses 1/2" NSP so makes it hard when half the system is in one, and the other half is in something else.

I prefer s/s as it's actually for a home brewery and s/s stays asy to clean. Brass needs to have an eye kept on it as wort is hot and acidic.

Tried Blackwoods, with a discount for buying 10 sets it's 377 + GST, ouch!

Any ideas for a different product that can easily clip the hose to a valve, suitable for acid to 5.0pH, and can handle temps up to the boil?

Goodyear make their own version of camlock's, called Insta-lock. Or you can even get Minsup connectors in stainless. Not sure if they'll work out cheaper or more exy but a couple of other options...

I'm talking to the Bundaberg store, I take it there is no national pricing?

    10 x 05248332
    10 x 05248485 <-- that is the poly one, I need s/s so --> 0524 8519
    5 x 06812366

Better than the local quote, was this for the poly or the s/s fitting, as per above?

I will call into my local blackwoods and find out from the above part numbers out of curiosity. Will you need more in the future? Discounts vary, i work for a big company and thdey often pass these discounts on to us.

    Cheers,
