interesting...now all they need to do is bring out a decent turbo diesel for those green hippies, and for us enthusiasts, an LS7 powered ClubSport and LS9 powered GTS. HSV NEEDS to have a power difference between their entry level and top level cars

Hand built engines across the board. Dreaming. Who do you think they are. FPV or something

    Re: VF Commo spy shot

Last month, Chevrolet announced it would enter a new model in next year’s Nascar racing series, and that it would have a rear-drive sports sedan in showrooms to coincide with the campaign.

The statement prompted speculation the likely candidate for this car would be the Commodore, badged there as a Chevrolet.

Hrmmmm I'm sure I've seen these cars around town already

The last few paragraphs may be pure speculation but at least is nicer speculation than whats been doing the rounds lately about the future of the Commodore.

Definitely, would be a very sad day if the Commodore was to be no more.

I am a Commodore fan but unless the VF is something special it is really starting to look as it maybe too little too late.

Let's hope it is something special as it will need to be.

Superficial changes will be a big hit with the customers.
May be Holden are hoping the Commodore will die of its own accord from lack of interest.

Im not too bothered if its called a Commodore or not but I hope in the future they still offer something 4 door, rear drive, with some grunt up front as I dont have the budget for weekend only toys, my play thing has to do grocery getter/wifes runabout duties during the week, I'm sure I'm not alone on this.

    Re: VF Commo spy shot

    That’s also been my concern.
Will the Commodore replacement after the VF still cater to the enthusiast and if not what performance options will Holden make available?
I also can’t afford to fill my garage with cars for different occasions.
And I can’t afford any of the imported serious performance varieties whether they come from Asia, Europe or the US.
I may be one of those fellows that gets left behind.
I will be holding onto my current Ute for dear life just in case I can't ever afford another V8.

    I still want an LS3 in a properly engineered 2-door Cruise hatch - 2013 A9X...

Hard to tell from the small photo, but are the A pillars smaller with black tape on the windscreen to make them look the same ?

The “A” pillars are the same.

What you’ll find with the VE’s is a black strip a bit over a half inch wide on both sides of the windscreen. This is to try and hide the fact that the “A” pillar on the inside that contains the airbag is much wider than the outside panel.
