I still like the look of the VY compared to what has come after it , but i guess i am biased as i own one (one tonner S with an ss front bar cover).

Hmmm. Insignia front styling cues. Similar to Malibu as well. I don't think it looks too bad but I think it will be a cross between the volt and cruze front end. How will it look. Happy to wait and see. When I saw the first pics of the vy I hated it but looked nice when it came out and I bought one. IMO they still look nice today.

Disagree VE is so much better in it's looks then the VZ, with the very short front and rear overhangs it gives it near on perfect proportions!
VE is now 6 years old with very few exterior changes and it still looks good and relatively fresh, whereas the VZ dated as so as the VE was released!

I'll be curious to see it for real when released. Seen a few 'predictions' that looked ordinary but was pleasantly surprised with the released model.

Didn't mind the VY but by choice i'd take a VE over it anytime...but hey that's just my opinion.

agree with above front grill doesn't match the rest of the car, it should be a rectangular shape to match the front bars square lines. Having said that the front bar on its own looks pretty good!

Think they would be right with the higher, fatter bonnet. Seems to be the trend now.
The grille and rad intake looks a bit american chev / mazda

First thing I thought when I saw it was.......Ford - looks like a few ford bits molded with a holden

Meh, I'm happy with the VE series one myself.......

Disagree all you want to justify your purchase. I still reckon the holden range looks like arse compared to the older models. HSV did ok considering what they had to work with. My 2c

    Re: Motor Mag VF "predictions"

I'll be interested to see new model's interior. I wonder what weight the new model will be. I'd like to see premium stereo as an option.

I wonder when VF will go 4cyl turbo, this seems to be the trend (BMW for example).

    Re: Motor Mag VF "predictions"

VF seems to be all about fuel reductions, so my thoughts are that it'll resemble something more aerodynamic, and that includes shaving the bulging gaurds, think volt.
