    Cool MEAN_R_O LS1 Stroker build

Ok SO time for me to take the next step in my VZ monaro and build a 383 stroker out of the LS1 she came out with.

This is my first attempt at building a LS motor so there may be some stupid questions along the way but if you can help without pulling the piss that would be appreciated. I will post pics along the way.

A HUGE thanks goes out to Peter_B from Fabre Australia for gathering all my parts together and working out a great deal for me. His advice and service has been awesome.

Here are some starter pics whilse I wait for the delivery of my parts then it will be all go hopefully

Using Manley crank, rods and pistons.
    Howard's cam and lifters.
    Double row timing chain,
    Melling oil pump,
    trickflow 44 lbs injectors,
    walbro intank fuel pump,
    Fast 102 manifold and rails,
nick williams 102 Fbw throttle body.

Yep thanks Peter was a lot easier to get out and pull down then i thought, all happened pretty quickly. Hope the rest of the build goes as smooth and drama free.

    Re: MEAN_R_O LS1 Stroker build

Ok Sorry I have been extremely lazy updating this thread. Well the motor is now built and just about ready to put back in the Monaro. I had a couple of minor hiccups along the way but nothing major and Peter_b (legend) form Fabre Aust helped me out and gave me tips throught the build. Now i just need to drop it back in over the weekend then get some fuel lines made up and shes ready to fire up. While the motor was out I also put in Whiteline front and rear sway bars and put in a GMM Ripshift. Cant wait to get it in and running.
Here are some pics from the build.

Question, the NW throttle body, did you have to use an adapter patch harness? I'm contemplating one of these throttle bodies and intakes for my vz cv8z combo but not sure if you need just a patch harness or converter box like a torque rush?

    Looks good mate!

    The cam is 240/248 625 lift 113lsa.

With the NW TB you need to get the harness with the converter box, I got mine from torque rush. There is a place somewhere over east that make them also but they were close to double the price, i can't remember the name of the company though.

Have a few more of those things sitting the battery and you will feel just fine about it.
