    Post VF Expectations

    Hey all,
Thought I'd start a thread on what we know or have heard about the new VF.

Rumors I've heard from an x-insider.

VF will have some aluminum panels and wheels but outside look is not very different to the VE.
The entire interior will be different to the VE,
There will be keyless ignition on all models,
    The handbrake is electronic,
There will be a bimodal exhaust available on some of the models. (Similar to the VE GTS exhaust).

    What has anyone else heard??

I haven't heard much. But my wish list would be along these lines

8 way electric drivers seat on all models, 4 way passenger
    Further improvement of sound system
    Revised instrument cluster
Bi xenon lights standard on top end cars ( SSV, Calias V)
Heated mirrors and puddle lighting on all four doors
    Adaptive cruise control
Front and rear park assist standard on all models
    Auto wipers?

There's more I've thought of but can't think of at the moment, heaps I noticed when I bought my series 1 VE

    Re: VF Expectations

Here are some features available on the US market Chevrolet Impala:
10 Standard Airbags combined with OnStar, full-speed-range adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, rear camera and rear-park assist.
The VF is expected to spawn an even more upmarket model, so...

Worth mentioning the new 5.5L DI V8 too..

Maybe you should start a thread for a VF wishlist, so this doesnt end up a thread with a 100 pages of wild unrealistic wishlist`s (cause we know it will happen)
and keep this one for confirmed/known features.

    Cheers Phill

Couldn't we just merge all the vf threads together, a new one gets started each week...

VH-COM in another post included this link.

A COLLISION warning system, blind-spot alert and keyless remote engine start are among the high-tech features set to make their Holden debut on the company’s new-generation VF Commodore and its American export offshoot, the Chevrolet SS, that are both due in showrooms next year.

Electric power-assisted steering and an electric parking brake are also included in the new Australian-developed large car that will carry the Commodore badge through to about 2018, and perhaps for the last time.

Lighter and more frugal than the current VE Commodore that was introduced in 2006, the VF will employ a host of fuel-saving measures, starting with a greater use of thin, high-strength steel.
