VE SSV
If it was the "Which Headers for VE" thread it would have been closed because a) there are already quite a few threads in which that is discussed and b) like someone asking which political party to vote for there is no correct answer. People all have their biases and preferences, justified or not, plus there are other factors which come into play.
forum rules, search a topic before starting a new one, all the basic questions, like what headers to get have been cover pretty well with lots of personal opinions from lots of members.
Yes it was a What type of question however even though there are numerous threads out there I was after opinoins, I also wanted suggestions on where to source them. I searched many a thread and found no reference anywhere on where would be a good place to buy them. .... Ah well never mind
VE SSV
He might want more up to date information. Where is the harm in leaving the thread open? Would you rather an active community or visitors who trawl the site for information and leave.
Id rather have a forum where unique new questions are answered, as opposed to pages of essentially the same question being answered over and over again. Yes there need to be a balance, but obviously the OP posted something thats been done to death.
However i will admit the thread search tool is a little basic, and especially annoying that you cant search 3 character works (say LSX 427).
Another tip though, you can useto search specific sites...
EG type this into"Site:Ls1.com.au LSX 427" will show all results with LSX 427 from the LS1 forum. You can also limit results to pages less than a year old to get more relevant answers.
Cheers
I can see this thread also being closed before long.![]()
I have no knowledge of the thread, as I didn't see it, however, if it was a 'which header suits the VE' type of thread, well, seeing as the VE has been with us since 2006, it pretty much means that most, if not all questions have been well and truly answered.
The search button does work - perhaps not as well as on other sites, orbut it does work and if more than a few seconds are spent in looking through some of the returned threads, many answers will be obtained.
