Is 12.5 ltr per 100km good for a stock vx manual ss

I averaged 10.7L/pr 100kms i a trip to melbourne from brisbane crusing 105 to 115 in a tuned calais sportswagon auto (non AFM L98) was pretty happy with that

have done 2 trips from mernda to williamstown this weekend, 240 k's got down to 9.6 on satday arvo and after getting home this arvo it's sitting on 10.1 average speed of 68 km/h.

with zaust otr tune 3.9's adv 9.8 for a trip to brisbane and stop overs at coffs harbour and batemans bay.

why not try holding the MODE button and the UP button when you start it everytime for a week and hit mode button till it brings up the lt/100 function and drive it for a week like normal and what how that changes. then the next week adjust your driving style with lower gear changes and gentle accel and compare the result from one week to the other.

That way you can get a better idea of how your driving style effects the instant fuel usage to try and gain even better results.

Have done a trip, Point Cook to Lakes Entrance and return with the Family in the car and boot loaded averaged 9.1Lt/100 with exhaust & Tune.
Driving around the suburbs i get 12-13Lt/100.

That not l/100. It's l/hour. You can only see l/100 on a 3 window dash. Of course if your doing 100km/h l/100 is the same as l/hour. Still it is useful to view how throttle effects fuel economy. I watch l/100 all the time for this.

My average around town is 18.5-20l/100km regardless of how I drive might see if changing the O2 sensors makes a difference.

I've tried that, when sitting on 100km/h it's sitting on around 10.5ltr/h but where I drive there are hills ( not big enough to change down gears) I put my foot down a little but more it jumps up to around 24ltr/h
And if I really put my foot down I can get it into the 30's ltr/h

Since starting this thread I have been trying to keep my revs below 2k rpm changes, I've done 230kms and it says I have 440kms left I will feel up thurs and see if driving style has affected it

That's damn good. Both the SS's i've had have been around the 20L/100km around town
