I think this sums it up:![]()
Working at a panel shop we get a varied bunch of cars come in as you can imagine. Some immaculate, some dirty, some expensive, some cheap. With the bad ones you usually just accept that the person doesn't really care too much about their car which is why it is in the state it is. However, this mazda came in last week which is simply disgusting, I don't care if the person couldn't give a shit about their car or not, it poses a health hazard if nothing else. I understand that not everyone appreciates cars but surely you would think they would care about their own personal health and hygiene. You don't want to see underneath the covers and to tell you the truth I didn't want to pull them back. (Btw, its mould not cement dust)

Yep see it all the time![]()
Have had a Mazda MX5 come into work that was full of dirty clothes, Dirty plates, cups etc and Moldy KFC everywhere![]()
Have a AU Falcon at work at the moment, Condoms across the dash, A stack of porno's in the boot, And the interior is that dirty and moldy that everything has film of filth on it, Ive refused to move it !!!
How would you not notice the smell opening it up on a warm summer day????
I worked with a guy once who asked me to move his car into the truck yard as he was going to be really late back from a run, and I almost got lung cancer sitting in his car.
In the 10 years of owning the car be had never emptied his ashtray or even tap the ash out the window. There were piles of ash on the speedo cluster ledge, in the door pocket, on the floor, cup holders were full and if course so was the ash tray. As a non smoker my lungs almost collapsed.
Wow! No matter what work is done to my car it goes in clean. You'd expect the service provider to take a little more care with your car if it's clean.
2004 VY 2 SS. Soon to be 2012 VE 2 Thunder SS.
That cars filthy alright, back when I was still working on cars I'd see all sorts of filthy shit but the worst cars I had to work on were usually women's cars, can't even begin to describe this car that came in, knee deep in both the backseat floor area and front passenger seat, food, tissues etc....best bit baby seat in the back, I felt sick. Up until earlier this year I worked as a repo man taking back people's household items (I know I'm a prick) but this job opened my eyes to the sort of conditions people live in, I don't know if anyone has seen those tv shows with people living in their own filth, animal crap in food preparation areas, furry mould etc as it turns out it's not uncommon, one guy I repo'd a tv from in Seaford was the worst the whole house literally had a foot deep garbage pile spread throughout, the smell was so disgusting it was easy to smell from the footpath. The tv absorbed so much smell that the guys in the warehouse could not get it ready for re renting. I've been in similar commission houses where I found a pet rat kept in a cage above the dining table, cats sleeping in pantries are more, fact is some people just don't care.
Last time my car was worked on after it's bingle I felt so bad for the people working on it I drove it from the mechanics to a local car wash just to get rid of a majority of the dirt and mud.
There are people who have cars and there are people who love cars.
Just imagine that on a larger scale, dog and cat crap all thruout the house, garbage everywhere and young kids crawling around. Lets just say the computer was worth more than everything else in the house. This happened more than once and needless to say health services were called, the stench was something I will never forget.
I dont understand how people let their houses/cars or whatever get to that state.
Their could be reasons, mental health issues, depression, physical disability but the people I dealt with didn't show any obvious signs of the above it just seemed like they couldn't be bothered, I mean when you walk in to a house and the kids have graffitied the lounge room one can only assume mum doesn't care.

i work in hotels and have had to valet park guests cars many times that are dirty, dangerous and sometimes plain disgusting so i can sympathise with you.
Back when I was doing car aircon we had some shockers, full of fast food scraps, drink spills etc.
Best one (or should I say worse) was an 40 something lady with a ford laser that had a bad smell coming through the vents. She carried her dogs everywhere she went, the car itself you could smell before you opened a door. It was a mix of dog smell, wet dog smell, stale dog food, stale urine/faeces and death.
Opening the door you got smacked in the face with the stench and to back it up the interior was covered literally everywhere with dog fur, you could see the fleas moving around like ants, along with bowls of dry food and god knows what else hiding in there. We refused to work on it.
Anyway to cut it short, after nasty phone calls the car got taken away and brought back relatively clean. The smell was a mice nest under the dash and dead mice obviously a different stench to the dog.

Guy in his backyard: Has a hole saw.
Enough comments regarding the lack of cleanliness have been made so I won't comment further: however, it's bad form to breach the privacy of the car owner by using your position to take photos, post them online and make comments. The vehicle is in your employers control for a purpose, not public ridicule.
Unless of course you have permission.
