Mine isn't factory but thought I would post for a comparison. I have a cammed ssv auto on Icom JTG liquid injected LPG. Around town I'm using 15 litres per 100, down to 10-12 on the highway. Cheap performance motoring![]()
Just wondering what people are getting from the dual fuel VE's, just bought a 08 berlina with factory dual fuel(my first gas car) and over the first 3 tanks have been getting around 11>12l per 100. I'm amazed at the economy i'm getting as they publish around 14L and most feedback seems around this or higher.
Last fill was 69.5L and car had done 675kms on that tank(allow 20kms on petrol) my avg speed is around the 75km/h mark as car is 70% highway 30% city doing 150kms a day.
Compared to my VY SV8(around 10lper 100) i'm saving $60 to $70 a week 60c/litre compared to $1.50ish for 98. Must say the V6 sounds like rubbish and the 4sp auto brings back yuk memorys but happy when crusing on the highway.

I drove from Melbourne to Adelaide on a single tank 70 lt in my VE Senator one night sitting on 90-100kph as my eyes are crap at night.
I pulled into Adelaide with 3km on the tank left. Not bad for a 6.0 ltr V8
Put your foot down and you can see it going south real quick.
Mine was an Omega factory dual fuel about 50/50 highway/ city and was getting very similar economy. Even though it was a company car it was one of the cheapest cars we have ever run. Cost less to run than a 1.8l Corolla. It was great on country runs well over 1200km on both fuel/gas between refills.
Yep enjoying it filled up for 52.9 tonight 50L and 475kms travelled.
Only thing i hate is the corse sound of the V6 my last V6 was a VX and the ecotec sound better
