I've been told by one mechanic that H&R are the go, and Eibach by another, Quadrant also recommend H&R and say that Eibach are too stiff, GSL Rallysport recommends King, with a lack of suspension testing data for Commodores, it's really hard to find anything other than opinions.

A forum member that used to race his ute around Barbs (and got a few records with it too) ran bilstien shocks with Lovells springs

Well I for one am quietly convinced that as long as the specs are the same (i.e. linear coil spring with xx kg/mm spring rate) the brand is pretty much negligible. Most manufacturers would make their springs in multiple rates too, so saying 'brand A is stiffer than brand B' doesn't really make sense.

If you tell a specialist suspension shop what kind of driving you mostly do and how low you want to run they should be able to advise what springs to get and how to match the shocks to the springs.

    Good luck.

apart from the base metal and forming process used, you'd probably be right. The thing I have noticed with Commodore springs vs JDM ones is that the stiffness is often measured in imperial measurements or hard to find.
