    Fair bet that one.

Released a couple weeks out form AIMS, so, what are they leaving for us? LS9 GTS-R, carbon body, AWD, coupe, none of the above...

Hey Pickles, yes I would have thought a 25th anniversary GTS would have been the perfect time to do it.
Martin, I reckon the wheels on the GTS are actually nicer than the GTRs ones.

"Perfect time"?...yes, that's what I would've thought too....but anyway, I guess the 140 cars will sell pretty quickly.
I predicted the S/C engine would be in this car...but I was wrong!
Now, the "next" GM engine is a smaller capacity, 5.5L, but it hasn't been seen in a car yet. I don't know anything about it, will it appear in VF early next year?....I don't know.
So, what engine will be in VF HSV?....don't know that either!!!!!.....Maybe some-one's got some inside info?
    Cheers, Pickles.

    Re: 25th Anniversary GTS details

It is all too little too late in my opinion. As I have said before I am looking to upgrade the E2 and have been for a while. If HSV had opened up the option list this time last year or made the 25th anniversary model really something special I would be driving an E3 now. I like the wheels, they look superb and the weight saving is welcome but the rest? Give me a break. I understand HSV and Holden want to run the parts inventory down but I cannot imagine I am the only one who would have stepped into an E3 in the last 12 months if it was a worthwhile improvement over what I already have.

Ah well. Bring on the VF. Just don't let the pimply prepubescents do the body kit this time.

Its a little bit of a shame HSV/FPV arent giving us a little more Meat and a little less Side Salad with their current 'Specials'
All the while other manufacturers are forging ahead with new models, new engine programs etc.
Maybe, apart from a few hardcore enthusiasts no one really cares? Vfacts will tell the real story IMO.

Will the LSA pass emissions regulations though? No point in putting that engine in a car if it has a very limited lifespan.

Very true...I wouldn't have a clue what HSV will do.
As far as the Gen V engine is concerned, no-one seems to know much about it.....even on the U.S. GM forum!
    Cheers, Pickles.

For sure, The LSA and LS9 are 50 state compliant in the US so therefore meet California's emission standards, much more rigorous than Australia's.

Lame release IMO. Nothing worse than a product which assumes the customer is stupid.

What happened to putting awesome engines, uprated brakes and suspension, wild interiors and bodykits, and one off paint colours on these limited editions? Oh wait, Holden already does that essentially to base models... Kinda short circuits the up-selling model...

    Re: 25th Anniversary GTS details

How many people slagging it off were potentially in the market for one? Were most of these people expecting some sort of weapons grade plutonium monster for 80K?
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, but it's also worthwhile keeping it real and all.
It was NEVER going to be a wet dream special with VF around the corner.
