Nothing yet, but its still quite early in Detroit (3am). Cant find anything in a search either.
Can't find any info on this, but I've read that GM was to hold a Press Conference in Detroit today to release further details of the Gen V.
I can't find anything on the web, but there you go guys, what can you find out?
Cheers, Pickles.

Juicy details out now: http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru....php?p=1993096
More grunt down low will be nice.

The next generation Corvette engine is the Gen V LT1, which is a direct injected V8. There was a ton of speculation about the displacement, with early reports placing it at 5.5 liters, like the C6R race car. This morning, GM has confirmed that the LT1 will be a 6.2 liter engine.
It also gets some advanced tech. The LT1 has cylinder deactivation to increase fuel mileage, which is reportedly more than 26 MPG on the highway, direct injection, dry sump lubrication (which will be an optional extra), and variable valve timing.
While more efficient, the LT1 is also expected to provide a nice power increase over the current LS3. With at least 450 horsepower and 450 pound feet of torque, the LT1 is up 20 horsepower and 26 pound feet of torque. It actually has a slightly better power curve than the might LS7 that currently powers the Corvette Z06.
So,......335KW & 610NM......not bad for a start.....I guess that will be HSV's new "standard" engine.
I wonder what the "high performance" varieties, if any, will be, & how this affects production & use of the supercharged LSA & LS9?
Cheers, Pickles.
I hope we see the return of the hero GTS with say the LSA, and the rest of the range with the 335kw Gen 5... Doubt it will happen, but the GTS back in the VX days was really something special having the 300kw C4B over the 255kw LS1. More than just fancy wheels and suspension. And the late 325kw GTS would have convinced no one that it was faster than the 317 badged lower spec models...

Very nice. Look forward to see what they can really do

Interesting that they are pushing ahead with the DoD system.
yeah I thought they looked like oil squirters, good to see they have caught up with the RB25 :P
I can't wait to get the DoD liters out of my engine, terrible ticking things they are.
some video's shown have alot of ppl wondering if there could be a twin turbo model:

Definitely looks interesting... now we just have to wait for the 2014 Vette (and possibly 2014 HSV?) to see what it can do.
They just love using the same engine designations over and over don't they?
