what will changing the rear belts do?
help with belt slip?
640rwhp of pure awesomeness
No, you change the ratio of the two pulleys on the back. You can run underdriven, 1:1 or overdriven. If you overdrive the rear pulleys, you can run the larger front pulley and still have 10PSI, just have to get the combination right. i think it may even get there with a 1:1 ratio if they're underdiven to begin with. This will help with belt slip as you're spinning the front pulley slower, which is where it slips.
If it's slipping at the back, you can put a gilmer/toothed setup on there but it's usually the front one.
Have a look at some of the Pontiac/GTO sites in the states. They seem to play around with them a lot more
I remember reading a decent sized thread where everyone was putting up what size pulleys they had all round and what boost they were seeing
May even be worth shooting Magnuson in the states an email and see if they can shed some light?
Lingenfelter offer a few options, they could be another avenue but I'd imagine there's a heap of places in the states to get them from.
Another option is to change to an overdriven balancer - but then you'll be spinning everything quicker

Isn't the thread about a new product from one of the sponsors instead of a "how to fix" your old setup...try PM's or new thread so people don't have to read through your problems. Not having a dig but i hate reading so much irrelevant stuff between a few people.
Any ideas when this will be finalised ready to go with OTR & "other goodies" and an approx price?
Hey guys, I'm Steve and I'm the Head Tuner and Australasian Tuning Support @ VCM Suite. I thought I'd let you all know of the project we have going on here - the all new 2300 Magnuson Supercharger for Holden VE, designed and released by our new supercharger division; Magnuson Superchargers Australia.
All of the Magnuson kits will be able to be purchased through us, all tuning support, all spare parts and assembly will be performed right here in Melbourne as well as any warranty claims. All points of call under the one roof.
We have been testing this product for several months with some truly fantastic results. One point I'd like to mention (remember I am a tuner!!) is achieving Intake Air Temps of between 38-50 C - on a valley mounted supercharger no less!
We have designed the intercooler/fitting kit here in Melbourne and are very proud of how easy it is to fit, and are very excited to continue testing in the coming weeks.
The kits are designed to be modular; meaning you will have the option of purchasing a low boost/non-intercooled 'entry level' kit that will be easily upgraded later on in predefined stages making the kit both powerful as well as finally affordable.
Attached is a pic of the supercharger and OTR intake still in development stage.
We expect release to be at the end of the first quarter next year so stay tuned!
Cheers,
Steve @ VCM
