Bought the car to turbo and drag it/power skid it

    Build specs
    Stock LS1
Will recieve turbo cam and valve springs
    Garrett GT4088
    Ase T800 turbo kit
Will get ID1000 injectors to run on E85
    Tuning via HP Tuners
Spooled diff with either 3.7s or 3.9s

    Exterior

    Engine bay during turbo conversion

Have spent only half a day working on it, removing old extractors and getting rid of Aircon related components.

Plans are to build it, tune it and race it all myself.

I am very interested in seeing how this pans out, Best of luck!
Will you need to do any major engine mods to accomodate for the turbo? and when you say "Auto (shift kitted)" what do you mean by that (Sorry I can be a bit of a n00b at times) In my head im picturing something like a Triptonic setup.

thinking more into it i probably wont bother with diff gears atm, was gonna do them to help it get on boost quicker due to having no stall convertor.

Shift kitted trans so it shifts into the next gear quicker.

Spent a couple of hours on it today, dump pipe, waste gate and screamer pipe all mounted up, turbo feed fitted, hardest part is gonna be drilling the sump for the oil return.

    Re: Turbo LS1 VX

    Bit of an update.
Aftermarket fuel rails and 60lb injectors are installed.
Undercar VCM surge tank with 2 044's installed and fuel tank refitted.
1/2" hardline feed and 3/8" hardline return all fitted up.
Sump has been drilled and tapped and a fitting has been installed. Cheers to Shane from GenRacing

Waiting on some exhaust heat wrap to wrap my manifold and dump pipe so they dont fry everything in the engine bay

Sounds good. I'd recommend just getting the pipes coated, the wrap makes a real mess of things.

Hey mate well done on getting stuck into it yourself!

Is it going to be driven on the street too or purely for track duties?

Track duties only, but can be registered again if i wish too, but too hard to worry about it on the street.

FPR is in the engine bay on the rail

nice build and i love the reasons behind the build.......

Just becarefull with 044 they are not capatable with E85 but can be used.
The pumps may give up quicker than warranty will !!!
