I'm not a hoon, I'm just competitive
Ok..I should have said ANY car......by "decent", I don't necessarily mean an "expensive" car.....my neighbour's got a VN Commodore......it's extremely "decent".....I'd drive it anywhere......but it's a bit different to the VNs ya see in some of these Hoon videos!
Cheers, Pickles.
I hope the new C63 comes out soon! It will drop teh price of teh current ones.
Then I can buy a White 09 model.
Well that is the plan for 2013.... White C63, Full Exhaust , CAI and a tune from Sonny @ Autowerks.
= HAPPY DAYS!
LS3 E series R8 Phantom on GTS 20s ..... Stolen.

wish they had proper manuals... not that i will ever be buying one though...maybe if i win lotto lol
yeah yeah technology bla bla bla where does it stop but... would you buy a car that drives by itself, all controlled by a computer so
that it can lap faster than a non compuetr car? What would be the point?

Pickles,
I am buying as a DD for the wifey. Being her car Monday through to Thursday. Then mine on the Friday through till Sunday!
Does the wife nail the throttle?
Mine has a heavy foot! Plus It will be modded so Im a little bit hesitant just letting her mash the loud peddle!

"Does the wife nail the throttle"?........Ha ha ha.....ya should have been in the demo car during a test drive....UNREAL......but from then on, she had a big grin on her face, and the only words were, "I WANT ONE"!
In all seriousness, wifey does love the car, and yes, at times, she does nail it, but she's VERY responsible, so she never does any stupid stuff. And let's be serious here, with our ridiculous "Nanny State" "Laws", there's not much scope to "nail it" anyway. But wifey says, "it's not how fast you go, but how long it takes to get there (legal speed), and the C63 is pretty good at that!
But really, the car is pretty docile, & could be driven by a little old lady "to church on Sunday", so I reckon your wife would be fine.
Cheers, Pickles.
This car has now been released (not in Aus yet though), official figures for the "S" version are 430KW & 800NM.
It will be interesting to hear the comments from the local press when they get their hands on one, and of course also to ascertain how close they get to the quoted 0/100 time....but in any event, it will be quite a car.
Cheers, Pickles.
Bummer, ...... the "local press" may not get their hands on the A.W.D. version....I've just read that it's only been engineered in L.H.D!

That burnout has a lot of smoke coming from the front of the car!
step 1. buy 2013 C63
step 2. take to Sonny for tune and exhaust
There seems to be some concern regarding the AWD changing the driving dynamic. a 70/30 split would be great and not differ greatly from RWD. It would only come into play under hard driving conditions and then you would be pleased that you have it.
My Adventra has the 62/38 split and you wouldn't know it's AWD unless you gun it in the wet or loose roads. The steering is heavier and so is the fuel consumption. That being said, I love it and I'm sure the new AWD AMG model/s would be great, even for RWD purists. Traction is where it's at and perhaps AMG don't want to see burnouts harming the classy reputation. AWD burnouts on the other hand would be just pure toughness.![]()
