    Here's some inspiration, the Worlds Fastest Standing Mile Street Car, with a Guinness World Record of 283.232 mph for the Standing Mile.

    Might want to look carefully at the pitch sensitivity of the car as well. Makes a huge difference how you have your front shocks setup for that kind of event.
    Dump the rear, jack up the front?

    You want plenty of high speed bump adjustment on the shock, thats all. Makes a lot of difference to the braking performance at those speeds

    I read it as he is saying it is not the fastest production car... I.E. that GT40 is a one off modified car, not how it came off the production line...

    Yep no worries that's why I asked him to justify as I also reread it like that too. That being said I don't really see the point in testing the acceleration of a factory spec car

    Well maybe not our cars, but an "off the production line" Veyron will do the 1000m in 18.0s which is tough ask for even a highly modified car...

    I have no doubt that this is the fastest car and is great work from them, just in the video it is said that the Bugatti only does 258 mph but that is an off the shelf car with no mods. In sure if they wanted to they could easy make it go way faster. And in the video it does say street car

    Any W.A. people interested in entering;

    Would be interested to enter this for sure, but i'll be in New York when this event is on oh well....

    No way the Veyron would do an 18 flat in a loose starting zone like Temora.
    Our GTR runs 1.5 second 60 foots on street tyres on a drag strip and was struggling to run 2.1 second 60s at Temora with a softer tyre and a highly advanced traction control system. Most of the Commodores would have been in the 3+ second 60 zone by watching them. Apples with apples

    Sorry but I don't think it's a tough ask if you are talking about a properly prepped track like a drag strip .
