Looks good....Does it need to be restored? Looks fine as she is.....
Keep the pics rolling.....
I've liked the '65 Mustang from afar for a long time and have kept my eyes open for a suitable project car, one came up recently in my price range and the owner accepted a chunk less which was a bonus.
Drove the 5 hours to Newcastle on Tuesday and picked her up.
The idea isn't a rotisserie resto but more of a drive it whilst I get it to a mechanical standard then have it professionally painted, i'll do as much of the prep work as i can but that's down the track a bit.
For rego it needs a new exhaust, brakes bled, new steering wheel, tune up and solid once over which will probably throw up a few more things to add to the list.
It's a C code 289 V8 LHD Auto Coupe - If you are interested I'll keep the thread updated as I go, if not I understand.....

Keep the updates coming.
Keep the thread rolling. Good luck with the project.
Confused.
"The Enforcer" = Kitchen Witch ?
Interested?...Why would anyone not be?.....TOP car, top project.
Are you going to get it back to 100% original?.....Whichever way you go, keep us informed with pics.
Cheers, Pickles.
Just a play on the super cheap advert where he goes to the house where there's both a Holden and Ford in the garage and he says " we've got to keep them separated"
It looks good in the pics but its had a "Mexican" paint job before it came from Florida - no prep just paint, fortunately it only needs a couple of new floor plates welded in around the bottom front of both footwells which is common. The rest is just surface rust which is easy enough to fix.
It must of been sitting for a while because the exhaust is gone from the manifolds back, there's no brake fluid in the main reservoir, so filling and bleeding, dash electricals shot but I found the fuse box with the old glass ones and they are totally rusted, will replace and see what works - the list goes on, starting today.
Will post up more pics as I go....
Cheers J
phwoar!! Thats a quality piece of automobile. Very jealous! Would love to have a garage with a proper old school car sitting in it.
Very nice! +1 for keeping the updates coming!
by the title I thought you were lucky enough to win russell ingals clubsport they were giving away !!! like as in taking the enforcer's car from him!!!!
keep it updated. nice car. just dont put 20s on it or something, trhey look dumb on old cars.
Well its raining here so perfect time to get into the shed and roll up the sleeves - started off by bleeding the brakes on all 4 corners, there was no pedal and no fluid in the ressie, nice full pedal now.
The park brake is missing the equaliser between front and rear wire lines, will order the kit for it. Steering wheel shot and new heater box - thanks
ebay.
Have organised a tilt tray to take it to a zorst shop for a 2.25" twin system with equaliser pipe - once this is done I can take it for a "drive".....
Headlights, parklights, rear & reverse lights all working but no indicator or brake, dash or oil, fuel or temp gauge - check the fuse box
.
I have a "new" old one or should I go with current style box?
Measured up to make a sheet to slot in between rear seat and boot, Bunnings I guess....
Can someone tell me what the white block with the wires going back to the coil and beyond is and should it be right there?
Dodgy wiring... it's been put underneath on the other side.
Adjust fan belt alignment..
Bringing her home...
Getting used to LHD...
Once these few things are sorted, we'll put her up on the hoist and check on the couple of spots in the floorpan that need cutting and welding before rego.
Cheers J
