Mate, if ya met these buffoons, ya wouldn't give 'em a second thought....ya'd just feel sorry for 'em.

Just my thoughts on the power window switches moving to the driver's door-
    1) They need to be away from electric park brake switch to avoid confusion.
    2) Once the rear windows are locked out the kids can't lean over and unlock them like they could in the centre console.
It may take a bit of getting used to at first, but will soon be second nature. I like it.

VF will be on sale in Australia (mid year was mentioned in the video yesterday) before it hits the USA (won't be until the 2nd half of the year).

Wow spend a day kayaking and the world stops turning! VF? I quite like it. Not perfect but pretty damn good. The most disturbing thing I have read on here is Pickles love of the cart horse!

Probably the first time it will make any sort of sense, unlike seeing the badges on a VZ SV6.

Shites all over VE, which NEVER floated my boat at all. I actually like the stripe in the interior seats - gives it a more sporty feel, which will improve sales of Calais, I would suspect. Previously, the choice was the SS / SS-V which some considered too sporty and in your face, as against the Calais, which looked - for all intents and purposes - like a very sedate, inhibited car. Now, it appears they have combined the best of both worlds - well, other than the already existing Senator in VP-VE iterations!

I may even consider VF if they put a CalaisV wagon out...

    cheers

They've definitely struck a better chord with the Calais this time around. All previous iterations have been "grandpa" cars and their resale values have reflected that. They've definitely taken a leaf out of the BMW manual this time around and made something aspirational. Be interesting to see what HSV does with their Senator!

    I can't wait either....

As for price, there was a small pause when Devereux said "....will make the VF cheaper [pause] to run....!"

*sits back and waits for the - will a VF dash fit in VE - thread*

I always viewed the Calais target market was for people who wanted all the luxury of a Statesman - but without the long wheelbase.

Looks great !! Just what our ailing car manufacturing needs. Hope it sells well, on and offshore.
