It's friggin shocking. 270Kw for a 6.0.L V8 is horseshite in 2013, let alone 2006. There are a bunch of cheaper hot hatches etc around that are going to embarrass the SS driver and more on the way. Not good. To not have any more power (or significant economy gain at least as a trade-off) in almost 8 years is quite simply absolutely pathetic. Am I being too harsh? The V6 outputs are getting very close to this also. HSV suffering in this way too with the carry over LS3, at least it has more power stock. I don't want to put in a cranky, fuel-guzzling cam to get more power. I'm over that.

Theres something wrong with the front of the VF to my eyes, I think it has something to do with the headlights. I think the sports models need more blacked out areas within the lights themselves. The front looks a little cheap and soft with the big shiny, clear lights. Anyone agree? I think this is why many of us think the Calais looks better.

Compare the VE to the BA and FG Falcons, the styling of the VE has more in common with the 2002 BA then it does with the 2008 FG.
The FG isn't a good example of any styling trend, it's so utterly bland and featureless that it just disappears into traffic like it was a Camry. There's no visual hook, nothing to grab your attention, no cohesion or theme about the look. VE I agree caught the tail end of the geometric look (just like VT was at the end of the rounded look) but its an example of getting that look exactly right. VF I fear will blend into traffic, having lost many of the VE signatures, but its proportions might sav the day.

Do the designers need to try a little harder to produce something new? Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the new Calais. The sport models look cool as well but for those in the know (most of us on LS1), this look has been around since 2008.

    VF Commodore = Opel Insignia?

Should VF have been released instead of VE Series II?

and the DUMBEST thing they STILL... didn't change in the VF is the fukn STUPID drink holders, I mean put any normal drink in the holder, and in a MANUAL those holders just put the drink right in the way of the shifter...

hey, but it has a "flash" chrome trimming round it now lol ahah

it will be interesting as VF has gone softer in styling and has features seen for a while now on other GM product. 2014 Falcon is getting more aggressive styling.

    Spot on!

I have been thinking this for a while too. When I look at the VF I see headlights that are too big, too busy looking and for the sportier models, not enough black in them and I feel they will look way out of place on the more aggressive HSV models. Holden should take a leaf out of the book of Audi's. Sexiest headlights ever!!

I'm undecided as yet. Agree about Audi headlights.

Rumor has it the new falcon will get slimmer headlights and no more separation between xr and normal range.

I just cant believe after 7 YEARS of VE series, this is all they could come up with for the VF, what a laugh, def no love from designers that's for sure.

Easier and cheaper to tool for and manufacture I suppose. Color differences for sports range, as in blacked out etc.

A retooling of drink holders would probably cost $1m
